Let’s Start The Discovery of Elti Heating...

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Elti Heating is NOT LIKE ECONOMY SEVEN STORAGE HEATERS, NOR ARE THEY SIMILAR. Our heaters react to climate change either UP or DOWN with virtual immediate effect - Offering more control, FAR superior comfort,
much lower running costs and are easier to handle.

Storage heaters take seven hours to get their full charge,
Ours provide controllable heat in minutes.

Welcome to Elti Heating –
You’ll wonder why heating wasn’t always like this!

Each block is hand finished and allowed to run for 3 hours before going into a heater...

The secret to the low running
cost of
our radiators is this:-
Inside each heater is series of refractory clay blocks. Up to twenty independent blocks in each radiator.

Each block has encased within it, an
air-tight heat element that heats
up very quickly, typically in just a
few minutes...

It then
holds onto heat for long
periods thereafter.

Blocks are dipped in a special solution to become water and air tight before being fitted snugly within the steel housing of the radiator.

As the blocks get hot, they transfer the heat into the radiator body. Which in turn sets off the natural radiant and convection heat process...

Because of the construction and because they are water tight and air tight they have a virtually unlimited life expectancy.

The technology within the radiator for heat conservation and heat distribution capability is incredible and customers report just a cosy, cosy comfort...

Once a room reaches the desired temperature, a thermostat turns the heater off but the room temperature doesn’t plummet like with conventional heating, instead, the room remains warm using the stored heat.

Because of this storage capability tests show the heater might only actually draw electricity for 15 to 20 minutes in the hour, dependent on insulation levels.

This can be demonstrated for anyone who would like to see. As outlined in red below.

This storage aspect is the key to economy and various independent tests in German winter conditions with external temperatures down to –7°C showed the efficiency of this type of heater over a 24 hour period.

A room held for 16 hours at 70°C needed electricity for just 28% of the time. The temperature was then reduced to 61° (16°C) for the remaining 8 hours and at this setting, power was only needed for 17% of the time.

Based on 7p per kw that’s just over 1p an hr per kilowatt, compared to up to 7p an hour for a standard gas fired radiator.

Note: It always pays to look for the cheapest electricity supplier, prices cany vary quite considerably from supplier to supplier, also ask about their other tarrifs, sometimes there are much better tariffs available but you need to ask about them.

IT CAN PAY TO SHOP AROUND FOR YOUR
ELECTRICITY SUPPLIER

Let me just say - IT PAYS TO SHOP AROUND FOR ELECTRICITY PRICES...
As I write this sentence, today is 23 March 2011 - Even today with a few clicks around on the internet I STILL found electricity with one supplier for under 8p per KW - It will PAY you to look for the best prices, don't be paying too much for your electricity!!!

The unique fluted design of radiators dramatically increases their surface area for far greater radiant heat distribution and each flute is about one inch deep.

Because of this fluted design it has been said that just 1 foot of one of these radiators has the equivalent surface area to 5 feet of a standard radiator thus providing incredible radiant capability.

Imagine that! So a 3ft long Elti unit with its HUGE radiant surface can be compared to fifteen feet of a standard radiator. Diagram shows how the radiated heat is delivered.

In Germany this huge surface is of paramount importance as temperatures in winter can plummet to minus 20, minus 30°C or even lower so they need really efficient means of heating with excellent control.

The flutes have a very important second and major role to perform, helping further reduce running costs and increase heat / warmth distribution ...

As the coldest air is always at floor level, we need to move the air above and below to help equalise the room.

Cold air at floor level is naturally attracted to warmth from the heater, the flutes seen here act like chimneys pulling in cold air at floor level, converting it into warmth and then channelling it back into the room. This natural air movement combined with the huge radiant surface has comforting results…

The overall result seen in the diagram based on the following heat principles:

1. During the heating cycle some of the heat is stored in preparation for the coming hour.

2. Warmth is supplied to the body of the heater by the clay core and radiated into the room through the expanded surface area provided by the flutes.

3. Because the flutes are hollow and close to floor level on the inlet, cold air at floor level is attracted into the flutes and punched out of the top to provide a means of cosy warmth distribution

4. As the room begins to equalise, there is less cold air at floor level so convection is reduced in favour of the cosier radiant heat.

The total effect is, cosy even warmth throughout.

Below are some comparisons of heat distribution of various forms of heating

Diagram 1 below shows how convection heat falls off quite rapidly, as heat leaves the heater it rises quickly and the current can create draughts. This type of heating can smell when turned on as it burns the dust on the elements. Not recommended for people with allergies or chest conditions as it can move allergens around the room. The burning can also dry the air resulting in itchy eyes and users of this type of heating often place water somewhere in the room to replace the moisture loss.

Diagram 2 below shows conventional central heating, the thermostat is very often sited towards the top third of a room on the wall, the hottest air nestles at ceiling level and the coldest air at floor level, therefore if the thermostat is sited high on the wall a heat cloud will form and people can complain of cold feet.

The temperature difference between floor and ceiling, represents a fortune in wasted energy. You can see from the diagram how the layers form, the hottest at the top and the lower you go the cooler it gets.

Very often there are draughts at floor level. This type of heating needs constant attention and replacement parts.

Cold air at floor level is drawn into the fluted design on both sides of the radiator...

If sited under a window, the cold air from the glass is drawn back into the heater.

As the cold air passes over the warm inner flutes, it is channelled back into the room, this has the effect of natural convection and it helps to equalise the room.

Next, the huge surface area, really important for heat distribution, provides a constant cosy warmth, gently radiating into the room.

This efficiency is particularly important as in Germany and Austria winter temperatures can get as low as minus 20 or even -30°C, so really efficient, controllable and economical heating is essential, needing little or NO annual servicing and this reliability without the need for annual servicing and upkeep is crucial to low running costs.

There are no glowing elements, wires or flames burning the air, nor are there any fans demanding additional power that create draughts – Just natural, cosy air movement creating an all over warmth.

A Note on Electricity Costs
It pays to shop around for your electricity just as it pays to shop around for the best insurance quote... There are so many suppliers offering hugely different rates for electricity.

My current rate today 2/10/2009 is less than 7p per kilowatt, I know of some people who I regularly visit paying up to 12, even up to 20p or more per kilowatt - IT PAYS TO SHOP AROUND FOR YOUR ELECTRICITY. Don't feel you have to be loyal to a company who is taking your money at ridiculously high prices just because you have always been with that company, or your Mum has, or your friend has...

ITS YOUR MONEY, ITS YOUR ELECTRICITY - SAVE IT!

Running costs of Elti Heating:

1 kw of electricity in UK costs around 7p, suppliers and rates vary, however, irrespective of the price the formula will be similar...

So... A 1 kilowatt bar fire for one hour costs 7p, and two kw therefore would be 14p.

Most electric heating in UK is 2 or 3 kilowatts, so a 3 kw oil filled radiator say, on full burn for one hour, dependent on your supplier could cost:

3 x 7p = 21p per hour + vat and rising dependent on your tariff.

Our heaters are very powerful and start at just 500 watts the equivalent of just 5, 100 watt light bulbs.

We often find because of the power of the heaters, due to their design and the efficient way they deliver heat, plus the storage capability that we need less power to do the same job. For instance, a room that currently has a 3.4 kw storage heater installed may only need a 1kw or 1.5kw Elti unit in the same size of room.

Of course insulation is very important as a badly insulated room will be difficult to heat and the more cold air you allow in the longer any heater will be on for - and this could be reflected in higher running costs - Its your heat! KEEP HEAT IN.

Lets take a look at a well insulated room, say a dining room or bedroom that needs a 1kw Elti heater, many bedrooms or smaller rooms may only need a radiator of this size. What might that heater might cost to run based on the German studies and good insulation.

1kw of electricity for one hour = 7p (suppliers vary). How long a heater is on for to pull the room up to temperature initially will vary but based on the tests, once the room is up to temperature the heater might only be on for 15 to 20 minutes in the hour due to the efficient heat delivery combined with the storage capability.

If we say the heater is on for 15 minutes in the hour that’s easy to calculate as one quarter of an hour, that means, 7p divided by 4 = 1.75p an hour running cost.

OR,

To put it another way, our 1kw heater was only drawing electricity for 15 minutes in every hour, therefore we only need ¼ of a full kilowatt hour electricity usage, effectively just 250 watts energy consumption for the hour, the equivalent of just 2½ 100 watt light bulbs, however, by reducing the temperature below say 21°C, even greater savings can be made.

There is no heating we know of that can compete with that and some rooms might need even less power, making them even cheaper to heat. You can see why the running costs are so low and why we believe NO other form of heating comes even close. Add onto that the fact they don’t need an annual service and the potential savings are obvious year after year... with a far better quality of heat and total control!

A central heating service can cost up to £200 a year before you even turn it on, that’s a whole lot of FREE running cost using the Elti heating method.

Good Looks As Standard

Radiators have slim-line traditional good looks as standard, so slim that in some cases they are even slimmer than a central heating radiator and to look at, they are exactly what you would expect to see from any quality central heating.

Sizes - Inches are approximate. Important to remember is that the overall size of ANY radiator is dependent on the intended room usage, the size, heat losses and the amount of heat needed. We provide FREE in home advisory service to help you get the best from any room.

Radiators are extremely slim-line and attractive to neatly complement any home.
They are just 8 centimetres or 3 inches from front to back, except the 220 which is a double unit, seen below

Heaters come in 4 heights according to the environment they are to be used in;
220 millimetres or approximately 8¾ inches
380 millimetres, approximately 15 inches high
600 millimetres or approximately 2ft high.
Then there are the taller heaters 1200 millimetres high approximately 47 inches.

If space is a problem all heaters can be doubled up like in the picture above. But overall surface area is important, wherever possible we try to install the standard height of 600mm or about 2 ft high. WHY? The bigger the surface area of your heater, the more efficiently it delivers and distributes heat.

What About Control?

The choice of time and temperature control is yours, from manual regulation, to state of the art electronics. The super-slim construction also allows for a built in thermostat in that is your preference. There are other choices of control and we have samples of each, so we can ensure it fits in with your lifestyle.

Healthier heating!

Our heating provides a comfortable environment in which to live using “black heat“. There are no red glowing wires or bars that burn oxygen and can smell as they incinerate dust. Heat is evenly distributed to maximise comfort without the hot and cold spots.

This “black heat” is more like the natural warmth we experience from the sun, providing a comfortable, cosy atmosphere working on natural laws of convection and natural radiation, there are no fans or forced heat to move dust, allergens or viruses around the room, not good for people with allergies or breathing difficulties.

Elti! - Just cosy warmth that’s easy to regulate!

A NOTE ON CONSERVATORIES

Conservatories are notoriously difficult to heat, even if you have special glass, you will still have a higher “heat loss factor” than a well insulated room.

In Germany and Austria and Switzerland, having paid to build their new conservatories, known as “winter gardens” they want to use them – ALL YEAR round – Including winter! So the very first thing they consider is:

“Right, HOW shall we heat it…….”

Get that part wrong and not only have you got a lovely new furnished and EXPENSIVE room that you can only use 3 mths of the year but the heating costs can be astronomic.

Here in UK. heating is often the last thing we consider, preferring to overspend on blinds, furniture, flooring and then run out of budget for decent heating. Heating should be the FIRST consideration, above ALL other parts of the conservatory.

If its too cold in your new room that cost thousands to build, you are not going to be able to enjoy it. Not only that but if you get the heating wrong it can have a bad effect on your new furnishings, cold and damp can set in and ruin them in a short period of time.

An oil filled radiator, a fan or convector heater in a conservatory is like throwing pound notes through the glass... Think about it! If cheaper, off the shelf, occasional heaters are too expensive to run for just short periods inside the house, just imagine how much they cost to run in a conservatory!!!

NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS…

We have many happy customers using our heating in conservatories, not only do they benefit from low running costs but they can use their new room – even in winter!

Some Final Thoughts

Our heating is very different to ANY, yes ANY form of heating we are used to in UK, it even differs to heating that on the face of it appears similar to ours, that means it is hard to compare it to anything you may have seen before.

Having come this far it makes sense now to see it for yourself, so hey, why not? It’s free! And there is NO obligation... Be open minded, things change all the time and the proof is all around you, so why not your heating?

Look at mobile phones, satellite TV and satellite navigation! Who would have believed just a few years ago you could send a photo to Australia in just a few seconds from your mobile phone on the high street? A picture you had taken just a few seconds earlier! Just a few years ago it would have taken weeks to have it developed and sent there – Now it takes just the blink of an eye.

Who would have believed SATNAV would be real?

Now you can just jump into your car with NO IDEA of how you are going to get to your destination and this little box tells you “turn left at the next crossing” and takes you right to the very doorstep. Incredible!

Its not just communications where great changes are taking place, things change and get better all the time and heating too is such an area. Just because heating “WAS” always so, the clunky boiler, the constant servicing and replacement parts, doesn’t mean it “WILL” always be so. CHANGE HAPPENS….

That’s why we offer you the chance to actually see it FREE, so you can make your own mind up. We don‘t make the offer lightly, we have incredible faith in our heating, in fact we honestly believe this is the BEST heating – BAR NONE!

Nobody likes to look foolish and neither do we! If this heating it didn’t do all we have said it would when we demonstrate it right in front of you, we would look silly. Don’t take our word for it – SEE it for yourself – It’s FREE!

You no doubt looking at this information either from a recommendation by a friend or relative. Maybe you have found this site yourself and just want to save energy, save money, or just get better energy efficiency.

Maybe you just want to keep warm with a better quality of heating. Whatever your reason, if you are serious about better heating it makes sense to see it for yourself – FREE!

All over the country people are unhappy with their fuel bills and this site is put together to give you an alternative. We try, based on our research and knowledge and the backing of a company established since 1946 to answer ALL of your questions regarding heating and water, and in the unlikely event we can’t answer your question there and then – We WILL find out for you.

So what do we do next?
Find your local distributor for your FREE in-home demonstration, they will measure up and tell you to the penny how much it will cost with no hidden extras. With so many customers now all over the UK, they wouldn’t dream of pressuring anyone, what's more that would be no good for their reputation, they simply show you the heating and you decide for yourself.
So locate the distributor for your area right away on the "Find a Distributor" page.

Just a word for the sceptics…
When you see right in front of you, what just 5 minutes electricity can do, turned into heat that lasts and lasts, even the most sceptical are impressed.
So book your NO obligation demonstration and survey we look forward to hearing from you.

How come we have no showroom?
That’s a good question and the answer is very simple: TO SAVE YOU MONEY!!!

Actually there are two reasons why we have no showroom…

A showroom increases overheads, there is rent to pay, rates, heat, lighting, phone bills and the biggest overhead of all – extra STAFF.

All that has to be paid for and guess who would have to pay for it?

Yes!!! You guessed it, the customer!!

We didn't want to add on unnecessary costs to you, we want to provide the best possible service and avoid any unnecessary expense, there is a factory in Germany, but why add on unnecessary costs in UK with expensive to run showrooms?

WE SAVE YOU MONEY!

The second reason negates the need for a showroom anyway. Why?

ANY fully fledged, mainstream heating, central heating, economy seven, under-floor heating etc, all require a trained person to calculate your heating needs and advise of the alternatives.

Elti heating is no different, except there are real advantages for you... With traditional heating they can’t normally demonstrate their boiler or heating before they install it, you have to hope and trust it will work well for you. Whereas, with us, you can see it and feel it BEFORE you make any decision. We bring samples to show you and do a thorough measuring job following German calculation criteria and ensure you are happy with the size and siting of your new heating.

Why is it necessary to measure up?

Well, as a general rule of thumb and you sort of know this already, the less you spend on buying your heating, the more it costs to run, otherwise there would be no need for central heating at all and we’d all just have a house full of convector heaters, oil filled radiators, fan heaters and the like.

But would that make sense?

Not really, the running costs would likely be – ASTRONOMIC!

Show us a means of heating that you can buy “off the shelf” where you know the price BEFORE any trained person has calculated and assessed your heating needs and we’ll show you heating that will almost definitely be tooooooooo expensive to run for any length of time –

The time is right for Elti...

Yes!

Fully fledged heating costs more to buy, but….generally FAR less to run with superior heat distribution and far better control.

Just before we go, thanks for giving us a bit of your time to visit the web-site, I hope you found it interesting.

All the best.
