HOW THE WORLD CHANGES… |
CHEAP TRAVEL
Not so long ago, it cost hundreds of £’s to travel by air and just a few pounds to go on the train. Now, in this modern world, it can cost more to travel within the UK by train than to fly to New York or in some cases Hong Kong and flights to Europe can cost as little as just £20.. |

CAPTAIN KIRK & MOBILE PHONES
Back in the seventies ONLY Captain Kirk could speak on a mobile device “Beam me up Scottie” yet even he couldn’t see the person he was talking to, today, we can do just that walking down the main street on our continually evolving mobile phones.

BLACK & WHITE T.V.
Not so long ago we watched TV in black and white...
But now it is in glorious COLOUR, with wide-screen, surround sound and stunning high definition the TV of choice...
|
|
So why, in the same time frame has our
heating in UK barely moved forwards?
We STILL use the same old central heating systems with gas, oil, solid fuel or lpg boilers spurting out HUGE amounts of poisonous waste needing constant servicing and replacement parts.
Some people still use economy 7 storage heating and that form of heating has barely changed much since it first appeared around the 1960’s with poor control and high running costs as standard.
Well, there is great news!
In Germany heating has moved forwards in leaps and bounds...
Heating that provides greater economy, high levels of control and power with simple installation, rivalling ANY, yes, ANY other form of heating for overall economy and performance.
There is NO waste, no flue, no chimney, no long charge up times. We believe this German heating surpasses ALL other types of heating for power, control and low running costs, combined with no waste, no servicing and simple installation.
IMPORTANT NOTE
This web-site has something to satisfy everyone, if all you want are the bare bones then you will find this information early on, whilst for those who like more technical information and an indication of just why the heating is so powerful and economical there is lots of information devoted to the design of the heaters in simple to understand plain language.
We work DIRECT with a family run manufacturer that has been established since 1946. THERE are NO sub agents, NO middlemen and NO other source in the whole of UK for our heaters except through us or our team of selected independent distributors.
What makes this heating so different?
We believe this heating is very different to conventional heating for a number of reasons:
* No massive upheaval to get it installed:
* No boilers,
* No servicing,
* No replacement parts,
* No holes in the walls,
* No floorboards up,
* No dust,
* No workmen to rely on and
* No loss of energy out of the flue
* No loss of energy up the chimney.
* No long waiting periods for heat
* No rewiring,
* No more clanging of pipes,
* No more air locks,
* No tanks and…
* No water running through them means:-
* No more danger of leakage.
* Simply plug ‘em in – Job done!
The convenience of simply “plugging it in“, combined with the fact it doesn’t need an annual service, or constant replacement parts, shows how advanced it is, simply miles ahead of the major upheaval and on-going running costs associated with conventional types of heating:-
No mess
No fuss,
No hassle!
However, don’t be fooled by how easy it is to install:- This Is No Ordinary Heating!
Yet amazingly, for a whole house it often costs less to install than most other mainstream forms of heating, including:
Central heating with Oil, Gas or Lpg
Economy 7,
Under floor heating,
Solid fuel etc.
BUT without the hassle! There is NO major installation, just plug ‘em in – Job Done!
It is so versatile!
You can still get the power and superb economy without having to do a whole house, you can, if you want to do a house in stages to fit in with your budget OR...
You can do just one room if that’s all you need to do and ONLY PAY for ONE ROOM, not a whole system as you would with some other forms of heating.
This modular design is PERFECT if your problem area is a conservatory, an extension, a garage, office, workshop or garden house. You can do just the one room – Job done! – In just minutes!
It provides controllable warmth that can be active in minutes, 24 hrs a day and is able to cope with SUDDEN climate change without you having to do anything at all. All this with potentially unmatched LOW running costs.
Since 1946 our German manufacturer has passed from father to son, to son and now one more generation is waiting...
This is NOT a new technology…
Just NEW to the UK and now you too are able to have it too
Huge Savings…
No middlemen to pay. No wholesalers. No export / import agencies. No storage facilities piled high with heaters - and NO fees for translation services, we do all that ourselves.
These “sensibly” low UK overheads are passed on to you and we intend to keep it that way, so you can get quality heating at the right price! |

Built to last…and last…and last…
With Reliability as standard
Heaters are rigorously checked at each stage of building and allowed to run for three hours before they even leave the factory. The final check is when they reach you, the customer. Then, the fact there are no moving parts and the substantial build quality means there is nothing to wear out.
You have the proven reliability of a heater or heating system that will go on, and on, and on, with a virtually unlimited life expectancy…
The manufacturers tell us that after delivery, since 199 “not a single heater” has been returned faulty OR for repair and working as well today as the day they were plugged in.
But for your reassurance, in the unlikely event that something should go wrong with your heaters, until now it hasn’t, but if it should, you have a FULL 5 years warranty as standard at no extra cost..... And on the front of your guarantee when you get your heaters is the following:
|
|
GUARANTEE
The reliability of Elti Heating enables us to give you guarantees FAR exceeding that required by law.
Each of your new heaters has 5 years manufacturers guarantee and two years on the thermostat.
|
Just before we look at Elti heating, lets make some comparisons between Elti and other forms of heating and what this might mean for you.
Starting with central heating...
|

“Glad we had this central heating installed, it’d be freezing up here without it”
|
- No need to rely on workmen turning up on time or have them trundling around the house.
- No need to have the floorboards up,
- No wiring to do,
- No need for new meters and
- No need for miles of pipe-work and cabling.
- There are no holes necessary, either in or through the walls,
- and no holes to outside for a flue.
- There are no fans, pumps or blowers
- Absolutely no noise, not even a slight hum.
- There will be no more expensive call outs for plumbers, gas fitters or electricians.
- No assembly work and no installation costs.
As for cleanliness...
- There is no soot,
- No dust and no mess,
- No ashes,
- No waste to dispose of and
- No smells.
And how about this... No more loss of energy!!!
- Up to 40% of the heat you have paid for with central heating systems can be lost through the flue or chimney!
- That’s a HUGE amount of wasted heat and wasted money...
- So, that means, for every £100 you spend on central heating, you only get £60 worth of warmth, the rest, up to £40 can be sheer waste. Hmm, is that a good deal? Does that make sense?
It has to be said – Boilers are inefficient!
But the birds?
Oh they love boilers as the heat you’ve paid for makes its way out of your flue…
|
|
Whilst we are on the topic of energy loss...
Our heaters are environmentally friendly with NO emissions.“No emissions” is important, as a badly maintained gas appliance can have serious consequences.
A government brochure from the Office of the deputy prime minister entitled “Gas and oil central-heating boilers, Advice to householders” clearly states with regards to climate change that around 16% of UK carbon dioxide emissions come directly from the gas and oil central heating we use to heat our homes. That's millions of homes all producing....
toxic pollutants...
|
That represents a gigantic amount of greenhouse gases we are contributing to.
Just a minor increase of 4% from new build homes could make it one fifth, simply from using inefficient heating -
It has to be said again: –BOILERS ARE INEFFICIENT...
AT LAST! - All that is history –
Elti is 100% efficient, doing its bit for the environment. Thumbs up for cleaner air! |
 |
|
|
Before we finally introduce you to Elti Heating let us just look at the what you might currently be paying with some other forms of common heating.....
The following examples are NOT the running costs of Elti but comparisons to off the shelf heating and gas fires...
At what point can CHEAP heaters cost £500 or more…
Everybody knows how expensive to run ready boxed “off the shelf” is.
Oil filled radiators, fans, convectors etc are renowned for their high running costs:-
But Did You Realise How Expensive? |
The following examples in A and B are based on “off the shelf” heating. The spiralling cost of fuel means that the following examples will change, but historically, they are set to go only one way – Upwards!
The electricity prices were correct at 17.2.05. For the first 182 units – 10.93p per kilowatt, thereafter 8.085p per kw.
We are calculating the following examples at 7p per kilowatt as rates vary and using the following criteria:- We need on average 8 to 10 hours heat a day at various times. These calculations are for 10 hours but only 8 hours electricity usage, we assume the thermostat does its job for two hours of that time. A bad, faulty or overly cheap thermostat can add as much as 33% to the fuel bill. It is accepted that we need heat for 35 weeks of the year or the equivalent of 245 days. |
Example A – This is NOT Elti
2kw / 2000 watt heater / 2kw = 14p per hr
14p x 8 hours = £1.12 a day x 245 days
= £274.40 per year x 2 yrs heating
= £548. 80
After just two seasons or 18 months the
cheap 2kw heater has cost £548.80
plus initial cost of the heater |
|
Example B – This is NOT Elti
3kw / 3000 watt heater / 3kw = 21p per hr
21p x 8 hours = £1.68 a day x 245 days
= £411.60 per year x 2 years
= £823.20
After just 10½ months usage, the cheap 3kw heater has cost £500.64 plus initial cost of the heater

And what about a Gas Fire? How much does that cost to run?
Examples taken from gas brochures regarding gas fires
This last example of running costs, example C relates to a gas fire, the type in homes up and down the country. First of all we need to appreciate with gas fires that much of what we put IN, we lose straight up the flue.
For this example, we have chosen a gas fire with a performance of 6.95 kw
That means on full power the gas fire draws 6.95 kilowatts of gas of gas "IN" per hour, but how much of that is actually converted to heat?
You'll be surprised!
You put 6.95 kw "IN" to get ONLY To get 2.3 kw of heat "OUT".
A staggering waste of fuel and money!!!
The remaining 4.65 kw is lost up the flue. This following information was taken direct from the manufacturers brochure, it is the type of gas fire common in homes throughout the UK.
Gas cheap? You’ll be surprised!!!
Example C – Gas fire.
Gas prices correct at date: 1.2.06.
First 4573 units at 3.324p and thereafter 1.672 inc vat.
We are basing the following calculation therefore between the higher and lower price as the average cost of gas being 2p per unit, per hour.
In this example we have taken a gas fire providing 2.3 kw of heat –
To provide that heat it needs 6.95 kw of gas according to the manufacturers literature,
So…
6.95 kw x 2p = 13.9p per hour.
The majority of which goes straight out of the flue and keeps the birds and the clouds warm. At the lower setting this fire provides 1kw of heat but it needs 3.5kw of gas to do it – 3.5kw x 2p = 7p per hour.
Some gas fires draw as much as 8 kilowatts input to only get just over 2 kilowatts output...
Gas fires?
Birds love it! |

Now let's take a look at comparing Elti Heating with Economy Seven storage heating, abbreviated to E7
ECONOMY SEVEN HEATING |
ELTI HEATING |
1. E7 take about 7 hours to reach full charge hence the name. |
Elti heaters are hot in minutes!!! |
2. During the day E7 cools whilst we might be out and at night the heaters can run out, they may need a boost or helping hand to top up from additional heating. |
Elti HOLD every room at your desired level and if the outside temperature should change they react accordingly…Fast
|
3. E7 needs careful planning based on the weather forecast.
|
Elti respond to changes in climate without you having to do anything, you can just set the thermostat (and timer if you like( and forget them, they will do it all for you. |
4. E7 are big, bulky and heavy.
|
Elti heaters are extremely slim-line and can be free standing, wall mounted or on castors, they can be moved easily for decorating or room change around |
5. E7 are difficult to control.
|
Elti allow complete control over EVERY room at ALL times 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, without you even having to touch them, the thermostat will monitor the change and react accordingly. |
6. E7 needs a separate meter and a fully qualified electrician to install them. |
Elti heaters simply plug in or you can, IF, you prefer have them hard wired!!!
|
7. If you are on E7, then for 17 hours of the day, every day, your electricity costs more than someone who is not on the tariff. |
Elti uses the normal electricity tariff.
|
To sum up…
For what it costs for ONE seven hour charge using a storage heater on Economy Seven you could heat with Elti for a FULL 24 hours or three days at 8 hours a day based on figures provided from German studies.
The study conducted in winter with an outside temperature of minus 7°C shows that to hold room at 21°C needed electricity just 28% of the time, that’s just over 1p an hour per kw in extreme conditions.
Naturally, if the weather gets warmer the heating doesn’t have to work as hard and the economy improves accordingly.
When the temperature was reduced to 16°C or 61°F overnight, it only needed electricity for just 17% of the time.
Typically a room that needs an Economy seven type storage heater of 3.4 kw might only need 1.5 kw Elti heater or less to do the same job –
THE SECRET IS IN THE DESIGN ! |
